The purpose of these feature stories is to share information about various regions throughout the world, which yacht owners can explore onboard their own yacht, and to provide a series of online resources to help guide you there!
Ports will be chosen where Dockwise regularly ships yachts and will connect readers to the unique and beautiful landscapes, cities, towns and their specialties, waiting to be explored. Having shipped one’s yacht to a region, an owner can fly to and from the region and explore as time permits until their curiosity and enjoyment have been fulfilled.
In this edition, we will be focusing on our Newport, Rhode Island, hub and will give you some suggestions on places to visit while in the New England region, a destination which Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT) ships to on a regular basis. Upcoming sailings to/from the region in 2009 include: Toulon to Newport in early May and mid July; St. Thomas to Newport, late May; Newport to Toulon, early June; Newport to St. Thomas, early November.
Dockwise boat shipping services provide an easy way for yacht owners to visit and explore these lively cities by the sea.
To give you a flavor from the areas we’ve covered in our Explore feature, we have chosen Lobster Bisque, a thick, creamy, highly seasoned soup of French origin, as well as Grilled Brie and Tomato on Crusty Bread that is sure to leave your mouth watering for more.
